Temple of the tooth
Dalada Maligawa or Temple of the tooth relic is the most revered place of Buddhists in Sri Lanka.It is situated in Kandy.The tooth relic of Lord Buddha is kept their.Kandy perahera is held in August every year.There are lots of elephants ,dancers ,whip crackers ,flag bearers and Nilames in this procession .It is a very beautiful procession .Maligawa elephant carries the relic casket in the Perahera.Lots of Sri Lankans and foreigners come to see this beautiful procession .
